General Membership
All Members have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ALTA prior to becoming a member
The Alberta Land Trust Alliance has 3 types of members:
- Full Member
- Registered charities actively working to secure and steward conservation lands, and subscribers to the Alliance's (Alberta Land Trust Alliance) Memorandum of Understanding and/or the Articles of Association (AoA)
- Others at the discretion of the Board who are actively working to further the Alliance goals and objectives
- Associate Member
- Individuals who are contributing significant time and resources to furthering the Alliance goals and objectives
- Businesses that are contributing significant time and resources to furthering the Alliance goals and objectives
- Government departments and agencies that are contributing significant time and resources to furthering the Alliance goals and objectives
- Honorary Member
- People who, at the discretion of the Board, have contributed or are contributing significantly to the furthering of the Alliance goals and objectives

Supporters of the Alliance are persons or organizations that provide funding for the ongoing work of the
Alliance. They operate at arms-length and do not participate in ordinary regular activities of the Alliance.
They can be recognized at special events.
Supporters may attend Alliance meetings if invited and may speak at the meeting when permitted. They
cannot vote on resolutions.
