Alberta Land Trust Alliance (ALTA) either owns the intellectual property rights, including copyright, in and to this Site, or has acquired the necessary licenses, including all text, HTML code, images, graphics and the selection and arrangement of the contents of this Site (collectively the "Information").

As a user of this Site, you are granted a limited license to use (display or print) short extracts of the Information for your own personal, non-commercial use only, provided the Information is not modified, and you shall be fully responsible for any consequences resulting from such use. Any other use of the Information is strictly prohibited.

ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE is under no obligation to monitor the Site and assumes no responsibility or liability should its content be modified or altered in any way without ALTA's consent.

(e) Confidentiality Warning

ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE will not be responsible for any damages you or any third party may suffer as a result of the transmission of confidential information between yourself and ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE through the Internet, or that you expressly or implicitly authorize the ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE to make, or for any errors or any changes made to any transmitted information.

(f) Computer Malware

While every effort is made to ensure that all information and documents provided at the Site do not contain computer malware (viruses, trojans, keystroke loggers, and all such programs designed to control or harm a computer and its data, or collect data unlawfully) you should take reasonable and appropriate precautions to scan for computer malware and should ensure that you have a complete and current backup of all applicable items of information contained on your computer system. ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE is not responsible for any damage or liability due to such malware, howsoever caused.

(g) Conformance with Law

You agree that your use of the Site shall not violate any applicable local, national or international law, including but not limited to any regulations having the force of law. Some jurisdictions may have restrictions on the use of the Internet by their residents. You agree not to impersonate another person in your use of the Site or the sending of any e-mail to an address listed on the Site.

(h) Choice of Law

The laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein shall govern as to the interpretation, validity and effect of this agreement notwithstanding any conflict of laws provisions or your domicile, residence or physical location. You hereby consent and submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta in any action or proceeding instituted under or related to this agreement.

(i) Submissions

All information submitted to ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE via the Site shall be deemed and remain the property of ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE subject to the privacy policies and ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE shall be free to use, for any purpose, any ideas, concepts, know-how or other techniques contained in information provided to ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE through the Site or sent through e-mail. ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE shall not be subject to any obligations of confidentiality regarding any such information submitted to it unless specifically agreed by ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE or required by law.

Use of the private sections of the Site is granted to authorized agents and clients of ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE only. ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE reserved the right to suspend at any time such use of the Site by any person.

ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE is committed to protecting your privacy.

The personal information gathered by ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE is not collected for any purpose other than to respond to service requests, communicate with clients, or respond to your information. It will only be used by ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE does not collect or distribute the IP addresses of visitors to our webpage. ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE may collect aggregate information on which pages visitors access or visit in order to improve the content of our Website.

Children are warned that they should never provide any personal information such as name, email address, street address or telephone number over the internet unless they have first talked to and received the approval of their parents.

(m) Cookies

This Site does not set any cookies.

(n) E-mail communication

E-mail communications may from time to time be distributed to users who identify their e-mail addresses in communications to ABC. We will not share your e-mail address with other companies or organizations other than as stated in our privacy policy.

(o) Disclosure

Upon request ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE will provide clients with all information that we collect from them via the website. Clients can access this information by sending an email, or by contacting ALBERTA LAND TRUST ALLIANCE by mail or telephone as listed on the contact page.

(p) Unanticipated Future Changes

From time to time, we may use visitor information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes, plus provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses.
